PLAQUE IS ON DISPLAY

Jelena has collaborated with Judi Werthein and created a plaque which is currently on display at LentSpace located on an entire city block bounded by Canal, Varick, and Grand Streets and Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue).
Jelena and Judi, melted down pawned jewelry — crosses, rings, pendants, charms, and such — to make an honorific plaque inscribed with Argentine writer Julio Cortazar's “Instrucciones para llorar” (Instructions on how to cry) in a hybrid form of English and Spanish, spelled in such a way as to allow a native English speaker to pronounce the words as an Argentine would.
